The microphones are placed with equal spacing on a circular array. The role of the Acquisition Unit is to collect the signals from the microphones synchronously. SPU software is responsible of controlling the VAS by acquiring the data from the Acquisition Unit, performing Beamforming and Pattern Recognition calculations and communicating with the LCU.
