The Local
Supervisor (LS) has been structured in four software modules:
• Visualization console, acting as the command and control unit
of the EU-FIRE subsystem;
• Database Module, installed on the LS to store and manage data
coming from all the connected sensors;
• Digital Terrain Model (DTM) Module, implementing algorithms
for fire localization starting from raw data collected by
sensors through a digital representation of ground surface
topography for a defined scenario;
• Sensors Interfaces, interpreting commands for sensors and
converting data in the correct format for database storage.
